tia+walter: the ceremony

The forecast was rain, however, we all held our breath, hoping  the weather person was wrong. Twenty minutes before the ceremony was to begin, the sky opened up and released a week’s full of rain. Ms. Jesse, being the professional coordinator that she is, didn’t miss a beat. Plan B was in full effect! The staff at The Emerald Grande,  as well as the rest of us made the necessary adjustments, and God made His entrance…a magical blessing ensued. This was one of the loveliest occasions that I have ever attended! Congratulations  Walter and Tia! You two are definitely special. I knew it  from the first day we met and it was reinforced during the engagement session..thank you for allowing me to be a part of this day and the entire process..Special thanks to the entire staff at The Emerald Grande #EGWeddings
Here are a few previews of a glorious day

felix + carmen + kameron

When Felix and Carmen contacted me  about photographing their maternity session, I was honored. To capture something so special as their first pregnancy was truly a privilege. Good thing we didn’t’ wait too long. Kameron was born the next morning after the last photo was taken. Thanks for letting me be a part of this magical time.

Clarence Bell and The Fellas

While having brunch  in downtown Pensacola, I was mesmerized  by the sultry sound of  Clarence Bell and The Fellasperforming at Five Sisters Blues Cafe. This was my first opportunity to see them perform live. They performed cover tunes by artist such as, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles, just to name a few. Clarence Bell once played back-up for Stevie Wonder. This group is a staple in the local jazz scene. The group consists of Clarence Bell, Tom Latenser, and Steve Ferry. Five Sisters is located at 421 W. Belmont St. Pensacola, FL.  Here are a few images  I captured of this great trio.

A sweet day with Honey Gun

Alternative, bluesy, rock, all these describe but a portion of the musical style and genius of Eric (Fly Boy Wonder), Aaron ( The Smooth Grunge Piper), Manny (Tin Man), Paul (Bass Level), and Byrd (Old Dude-Drummer Boy), who make up the Local Pensacola Alternative Band, “Honey Gun” (BTW, I made up  those nick-names, without their permission).  These guys are well on their way to stardom. They even have their own tour bus! I was thrilled when they asked me to shoot images for their new webpage. Me and my trusty side-kick, my baby boy, Torrey (well, he’s 18, but he’s my baby dude!) packed up and headed to the City of Five Flags to spend an afternoon capturing images around this fabulous town with five of the coolest dudes anyone could meet.

Honey Gun is an up and coming alternative band in the Greater Pensacola, Florida area.

“It’s been a journey, but I can’t wait until we can get to the point where music is all we do”, says Aaron, lead singer for Honey Gun. They are not far from that, receiving tremendous accolades from their expansive fan base in the city of Pensacola.

Being true artists, they knew exactly what they wanted from this session. It also didn’t hurt that I’d worked with them before, on their first photo-shoot. They definitely love their city and their fans! It was important that we took photos in locations that the fan-base would recognize so we went to some of the more recognizable locations in downtown P’Cola, where the “Hipsters play”.

Keep and eye and an ear on this group. I’m glad to know them, before they walk the red carpet to receive some prestigious awards! Success is absolutely a part of their future!
